Dr med. Ludger J. M. Meyer-Dobbelstein (Dr. med. Ludger J. M. Meyer-Dobbelstein) is the owner, clinic director and Chief Physician of Villa Bella Clinic, Munich. Where the doctor practises and what they do
He has led Villa Bella in Munich since 2007 — a small clinic where he consults and operates himself. His main fields are aesthetic breast and facial surgery: augmentation, reduction and lifting of the breast, eyelid surgery, facelift and contour correction. At the consultation he goes through what an operation will and will not change — the honest version of the conversation about what plastic surgery in Germany can do.
The second part of his work is reconstructive surgery: closing defects after skin tumours have been removed, correcting scars and the consequences of injury, and restoring shape where tissue has been lost. What they are known for
He is a specialist in surgery and in plastic and aesthetic surgery, and a trauma surgeon. He began in trauma surgery in Paderborn and paediatric surgery in Oberhausen, and in 1992 and 1993 held a research fellowship at the University of California San Francisco on scarless wound healing. From 1993 to 2002 he worked at the surgical clinic of the Grosshadern university hospital in Munich, then led the department of plastic, hand and facial surgery at the Hornheide clinic of the University of Münster. In 2004 and 2005 he was chief physician of plastic surgery in Bocholt, and from 2005 to 2007 leading chief physician of a clinic in Munich-Grünwald. He is a full member of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, and his clinic works with the chair of plastic surgery at the Technical University of Munich.
