Dr Rosenkranz studied human medicine at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg and the University of Hamburg from 1989 to 1997, completing a clinical elective at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York in 1996. He earned his doctorate in medicine at the University of Hamburg in 1999 following training in neurology, psychiatry, and neuroradiology at RWTH Aachen and the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). After receiving specialist board certification in neurology in 2005, he obtained an additional qualification in special neurological intensive care medicine and worked as a senior physician at UKE until 2013. He completed his habilitation at the University of Hamburg in 2012 and graduated from a postgraduate programme in hospital management at the University of Cologne in 2019.
