Prof. Dr med. Florian Beuer has served as Director at Charité Berlin since 2015. His clinical work focuses on digital dental technology, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM technology), and all-ceramic restorations. He provides comprehensive solutions in dental treatment in Germany, covering both surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant care.
His therapeutic focus includes aesthetic dentistry, restoration with all-ceramic materials, and specialized prosthetic treatments for older patients. By integrating digital workflows and modern dental materials, he plans and completes functional and cosmetic reconstructions of the dentition.
What they are known for
Prof. Dr med. Florian Beuer completed his dental studies at LMU Munich in 1999 and received his licence in 2000. Following a doctorate in 2002, he worked as a research associate and senior physician at LMU Munich until 2015, completing a research fellowship at the Pacific Dental Institute in Portland, Oregon, in 2007–2008 and his habilitation in 2009. He earned a Master in Medical Education from Heidelberg University in 2015. He is a certified specialist in implantology (DGI) and prosthetic dentistry (DGPro), served as President of the German Society of Implantology (DGI) in 2021, and became an Active Fellow of the American Academy of Prosthodontics in 2022. Since 2020, he has been Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Computerized Dentistry.
