Dr med. Dimitrios Skambas leads the urology department as Medical Director and Chief Physician. His main clinical focus areas include andrology (men’s reproductive health and hormonal disorders), drug-based tumour therapy (medicinal treatment of urological cancers), and X-ray diagnostics of the urinary tract (radiological imaging of the kidneys, bladder, and urinary passages). He provides comprehensive diagnostic and conservative care for complex urological conditions.
What they are known for
Dr med. Dimitrios Skambas studied human medicine at J.W. Goethe University Frankfurt am Main in 1999, earning his doctorate in medicine. He completed specialist training in urology at St. Katharinen Hospital Frankfurt am Main in 2006, where he was promoted to senior physician in 2009. In 2011, he became leading senior physician at Main-Kinzig-Kliniken Gelnhausen. He is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU), holds full 60-month training authorization for urology, and serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at University Hospital Frankfurt am Main. He speaks German, English, and Greek, and is a member of the German Society of Urology (DGU), the European Association of Urology (EAU), the Greek-German Society for Urology (GDGU), and the Hellenic Urological Society (HUS).
